He walks me through the hurt
He carries me through the pain
He wraps His arms around me
Jesus is His name

He knows the heart within
His Spirit living there
Though I may not understand
He shows me that He cares

The walk may not be easy
He proved this all too well
Yet in the deepest shadows
His love will still prevail

I leave the painful trial
Entirely in His care
And trust the tender Shepherd
Who hears my every prayer

He is my quiet refuge
My peace when spirits fall
For Jesus knows my heartache
And leads me through it all.
