I’m feeling a bit down today,
With no real reason why.
I know that You are with me,
Yet still I want to cry.

The sadness overwhelming,
as I keep the tears reigned in.
Help me Lord to feel You
I know not where to begin.

I call to You with silent pleas,
my thoughts have run askew.
I cannot find the words to say,
My only hope is You.

Take this sadness from me,
please fill me with Your joy.
To find the peace within,
No sadness can destroy.
