While every life is important, some people touch your heart in a deeper way than others. They have a bigger impact and they may not even realize it.
You may not even know the person that well, but God does.
God uses people to encourage and lift others.
He uses them to be an example of how our walk with Christ should be.
He uses the meek and the humble for His purposes.
What you say matters.
What you do matters.
What you don’t say matters,
and what you don’t do matters.
It all has meaning.
This thought comes to mind about one such person.
In his frailness, he smiled.
In in weakness, he encouraged.
In his rest, he was energized with joy.
Why?
He knew his future.
He saw the angels.
He heard them singing.
The out-stretched hand of Jesus.
Called him home.
Today there is no more pain.
Today there is no more discomfort.
Today there is no more waiting.
Today he celebrates.
Today he closed his eyes.
Today he opened his eyes in glory.
Today he rejoices.
Today he hears the words we all yearn to hear,
“Welcome home my good and faithful servant.”
