Thank you, Lord, for all of itβ€”
For pain that made me strong,
For scars that show I survived,
Though the road was hard and long.

Thank you for the darkest pits
Where I felt lost and all alone,
And for the stars that led me back
To make your grace my own.

Thank you for your only Son,
Freely given on the cross,
To bring my heart eternal peace
And cover every loss.

You held out grace just like a pen,
An offer free and true.
I held it long, unsure of how
To write my life with you.

I struggle still; I trip and fall,
Yet you won’t let me go.
You pick me up and hold my hand
Along this path below.

Now with your hand placed over mine,
I’m learning how to writeβ€”
Not words on paper, but walking close
Beside you in the light.

Thank you for the ones who bless,
Who show your gentle grace,
And those who push me to your arms,
My only hiding place.

Through every valley, every hill,
My heart is quiet and whole.
For all of it, my loving Lord,
I thank you with my soul.
