Daily Words, Daily Walk

I woke up this morning with the classic hymn “Just a Closer Walk with Thee” on my mind, and this quiet reflection grew out of it.

Daily Words, Daily Walk

Scripture Focus:

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.” — Psalm 19:14

Reflection

For years, I heard people say that they couldn’t get through life without Jesus. I heard the phrase, but I never truly understood what it meant—until I lived through a few of my own storms.

Those major life hurricanes are difficult, but I’ve found that they serve as the training ground that prepares us to navigate the sudden spring squalls.

Walking with Jesus isn’t always easy, but going through heavy trials made His presence undeniably real to me.

Now I know wholeheartedly that every step requires His guidance, and whenever I begin to veer off course, the Holy Spirit gently moves me back.

That steady, loving course-correction doesn’t just apply to the major events in our lives; it touches the subtle details of our days, especially the words we choose.

This is deeply personal for me because God made me a talker—it’s no secret that I’ve never met a stranger!

Words come easily to me, but I’ve learned that being quick to talk doesn’t mean being quick to gossip.

Because my door is always open and conversation flows so freely, it is essential that my words remain rooted in encouragement, kindness, and truth.

When life gets turbulent, or fatigue sets in—those little daily spring squalls—our words can easily slip. We might catch ourselves reacting in frustration or speaking out of anxiety.

Yet, walking close to Jesus means letting His Spirit filter our thoughts before they ever leave our mouths.

Learning to lean on Him through the hardest seasons has taught me to let His peace guide my tone, guard my heart, and steady my speech in every single conversation.

Have a Blessed Day 🙌
God is always working and is always with us!
