I had a true “Walking by Faith, Tripping Constantly” moment at Walmart today. A quick comment on my shirt turned into a whirlwind conversation with a woman who has spent her life in church leadership, but is currently carrying a lot of confusion and deep bitterness.

​She was all over the place, questioning the Bible because it’s full of “thieves and whores” and people who messed up. I tried to tell her that’s actually the beauty of it! The Bible is full of messy, failing people, and it’s proof that we don’t have to be perfect for Jesus to love us. If King David can find grace, there’s hope for all of us when we trip up, too.

​The conversation was short and heavy, and in hindsight, I missed the chance to ask her name or stop and pray with her. I’m letting my conviction turn into action now.

Sometimes people don’t need us to win a theological debate; they just need us to BE the Bible they can see—showing patience and kindness when they are venting their hurt.

​Please join me in praying for her today. Pray for healing in her family, peace in her heart, and that Jesus’ love breaks through all the noise. We truly need to be lifting each other up.
