He Heals

I am sure many of you are aware of my recent accident, in which I fell from the top step of my back porch nearly two weeks ago.

Thankfully, my injuries were limited to surface wounds.

As I lay on the ground, getting my wits about me, I couldn’t help but say “Thank You Jesus!” as it could have been much worse than it was. No lie, it scared me at that moment.

This morning, I was thinking about the parallels between the healing process of those scrapes and bruises and the storms we face in life.

The initial pain is intense, but as time passes, it gradually eases, much like the way God’s presence comforts and eases our pain during difficult times.
I think of a child who has a very minor injury that is instantly healed by a Mother’s kiss.

We may not heal that quickly because our pain is deeper but the comfort of knowing He is with us can give our hearts peace.

While pain and suffering are an inevitable part of life on earth, we can rest in the fact that the day will come when there will be no more pain.
No more tears.
No more sorrow.
No more fear.

We will see Jesus face to face!

What a glorious day that will be!
