From top to bottom the veil was torn,
Opening the door.
For you and I to walk right in,
communing with the Lord.
A breath we take without a thought,
yet prayer we push aside.
Too much to do, no time to pray,
so busy with our lives.
We talk to God on our own terms,
distractions all around.
Expectations far too great,
confessions can’t be found.
Repentance from our heart,
so little does He ask.
To take the time to focus,
to be honest with this task.
He waits inside the Throne Room,
for our entrance through the door.
Hoping we will boldly enter,
His grace to show once more.
